Joe Riley is a Nationally Acclaimed Award Winning Guitarist with over 25 years experience in touring/recording/teaching.
Joe started playing guitar at the age of 14 yrs old. He quickly advanced his skills by independent study, as well as, private lessons. Heavily influenced by the 80's LA rock scene, Joe's playing leaned toward instrumental solo (shred) styles. But to further his knowledge of music and the guitar... he studied jazz, country, rock, metal, and blues as well as music theory.
Joe has gained national recognition as a recording/touring artist as both solo and with several bands including Dominance A.D., Standing 8 Count, Mr.Crowley (Nations #1 Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne), Liquid Fire (Sony/Red), Adam D Tucker band (Nashville/ Las Vegas), The Mighty Swine (Broad Horizon Records) and The StitchPig Revival (Rileywood Music Group). He has also performed with, opened for and/or recorded with such artists as... Kid Rock, John Michael Montgomery, Travis Tritt, Heath Wright (Ricochet), Jason Aldean, Tracy Lawrence, Bucky Covington, Jackal, Black Stone Cherry, Atlanta Rhythm section, and much more...
Joe's playing has also been seen/heard on country radio nationwide with Liquid Fire's debut full length cd's singles "Crank it Up", "Mississippi Rendezvous", "Outlaw in the Wind" (which he wrote). Worldwide with The StitchPig Revival's debut release (including singles "Gator's Tale" & "Bleed Broken Down"). Other performances include The National Anthem on ESPN, ESPN2, Speedvision Network, GNCC Racing television, and Netflix.
Joe has also supplied the guitar tracks for several radio commercial jingles over the past 25 yrs including Budweiser.
From 2010 -2019, Joe released his first solo music video..."Invading Yeti" (The Bigfoot Jam) & a batch of singles, as well as, music video for radio single..."LUST" with The Mighty Swine (Broad Horizon Records). "LUST" video gained worldwide recognition by charting at #1 on www.Roxwell.com for 12+ wks consecutively (ahead of Five Finger Death Punch, KORN, Metallica, Nickelback and more).
StitchPig Revival (featuring ex- Asphalt Ballet frontman Gary Jeffries) released a video for "Gator's Tale" with amazing reviews in 2020 in midst of COVID pandemic.
2022 Joe released his debut solo album "The Axeman Unleashed" on his own Independent Record Label/ Management Company Rileywood Music Group, LLC. The album gained media attention leading to 2 full page promotionals in Guitar World Magazine, radio play around the world, and eventually a record deal with Rock Solid Talent Entertainment (RSTE/AMG/SONY Distribution).
Currently... "The Axeman Unleashed" has been rereleased with Rock Solid Talent Entertainment distributed through RSTE / AMG / SONY Music and KDM (Asia) worldwide. The album features guest appearances by Tony Franklin (Bassist for The Firm/ Jimmy Page/ Blue Murder), Scotty Page ( Sax for Pink Floyd/Toto/ Supertramp), Jake Hill (RIP... former touring keyboardist with Joe), MR. DIBBS (Atmosphere) and Greg Slone (longtime collaborator on drums) and more.
